Domestic issues cloud England's year of progress under Martin Johnson
After the gloss of an unexpectedly high finish by England to the RBS Six
Nations Championship ? second, on points difference, to Ireland ? the
undercoat of the domestic structure has returned to haunt the game. The RFU
will issue a statement today confirming its rejection of the proposal by
Premier Rugby Ltd (PRL) for its clubs to play an additional six Guinness
Premiership matches next season.
